چکیده
Abstract Hemodialysis patients are more susceptible to HBV infection because they have low immunity and can be inflicted through an improperly sterilized machine or a tainted blood transfusion. A cross-sectional study aimed the prevalence of among hemodialysis in Aljazeera State, Hospital for Renal Disease Surgery during period between March August 2018. total ninety-one samples were obtained randomly from patients. The plasma was examined presence HBsAg using sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay (ELISA). Data collected by structured questionnaire included sociodemographic data such as age, sex, marital status, education level, duration dialysis, previous vaccination, history surgical operation, jaundice Detectable marker infections (HBsAg) found 21 (23.1%) patients, while remaining 70 (76.9%) negative. We noted that level had significant effect on seroprevalence HBV, with P value <0.05. concluded (HD) is high. So, extensive effort enroll HD vaccination programme against recommended. Moreover, periodically screening early detection deemed essential order therapeutic measures promptly initiated, prevention protection other staff unit.

Prevalence of hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and HIV infection among hemodialysis patients in Jenin District (Palestine)
Background and Aims: End-stage renal disease patients treated by hemodialysis (HD) are more susceptible for infection by viral hepatitis and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections. Infection by these viruses is promoted by the characteristic immunological dysfunction that develops in renal failure and interferes with the patient's ability to eliminate these viruses. Prevalence of these v...
متن کاملHepatitis E virus infection in hemodialysis patients: A seroepidemiological survey in Iran
BACKGROUND The hepatitis E virus (HEV) has a global distribution and is known to have caused large waterborne epidemics of icteric hepatitis. Transmission is generally via the fecal-oral route. Some reports have suggested parenteral transmission of HEV. Anti-HEV prevalence data among chronic hemodialysis (HD) patients are few and give conflicting results. METHODS This cross-sectional study wa...
متن کاملHepatitis E virus infection in haemodialysis patients: a seroepidemiological survey.
BACKGROUND Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is the causative agent for enteric non-A, non-B hepatitis. Transmission is via the faecal route but the possibility of transmission by blood has been raised. Data concerning anti-HEV prevalence among chronic haemodialysis (HD) patients are few and give conflicting results. METHODS We tested for anti-HEV antibody 204 chronic HD patients attending a single dia...

متن کاملOccult Hepatitis B Virus Infection Among Hemodialysis Patients
Occult hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection (i.e., detectable HCV-RNA in the liver or peripheral blood mononuclear cells) in the absence of both serum HCV-RNA and anti-HCV antibodies has not been investigated in hemodialysis patients. In this study, real-time PCR and in situ hybridization was used to test for the presence of genomic and antigenomic HCV-RNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of ...
